A beautiful, decorative plate. This is a lovely Belgian Majolica, probably from Henri Bequet ‘s Pottery.
Henri Bequet Pottery was in production from around 1934 to 1984.
This lovely “Anemone and Bird” plate is about 12-¾” in diameter.
In the Majolica style of Henri Bequet it is very colorful and quite lovely.
The large plate is in excellent condition with a couple of very small scars on the edge (small chips in the glaze“. The colors are lovely and bright and there are no major problems with this piece.
The back has all the proper marks for a Bequet piece. Stamped “Belgian” and “178” and with a gold “A” artist mark. However, the Bequet mark is not present. Maybe an apprentice piece or a “second.” This is a Bequet design.
This colorful plate will look striking displayed on your wall.
