This rustic cedar bowl was turned from a dying tree on family property in York, PA. The grey streaks are quite stunning and happen quite often on some species of cedar, as is the bark live edge left intact along the rim.

Perfect for desk items and nick-knacks; or even candies. It is finished in food safe mineral oil and buffed with natural waxes. Easy to maintain by lightly sanding and re-applying mineral oil.

I find great joy in making art out of something that would otherwise be destined for a fire pit. Most people would overlook a cord of wood. Some of us know better!
