Dunkleosteus was the largest predator of the Devonian seas 100 million years before dinosaurs existed. They were about 30 feet long and weighed 3-4 ton. Rather than teeth Dunkleosteus had sharp bony plates that formed a beak like structure that allowed a bite force of 8,000 pounds per square inch (putting it in competition with the bite of a T-Rex for the most powerful known bite). Dunkleosteus was named after David Dunkle from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and 'osteus' meaning bone.

This handmade plush is approximately 20 inches long and 5 inches wide (not including fins). It is made with a combination of dark green and tan fleece with blue safety eyes, white felt 'teeth', and is stuffed with polyfil. There are a couple of areas of visible stitching (if seams are pulled tight) along the dorsal fin and underneath the tail where the fabric didn't catch underneath the sewing machine properly and I had to go back and fix it.

**NOTE** This plush is cute (to some people), but please use your best judgement when purchasing for a child.
