Potty Training with Rewards:
My wife and I spent over a year potty training our first child with little success. Two days after creating the Poop n Pull, my son couldn't wait to go on the potty. Using a reward system is the most common and practical way to potty train a child, but it's important to do it right.

Here are some basic guidelines:

1. Rewards should be immediate and consistent.
2. Your child needs to know that the reward is there and waiting for them.
3. The reward should come immediately after success.
4. Rewards need to be small and simple.
5. Most important, the system for getting the rewards should be FUN AND INTERACTIVE!!!

The Poop n Pull can be hung on any door so it is out of the reach of children until Mom or Dad releases the cord and loads the treat. There is a compartment to store small treats (starbursts, tootsie rolls or small/inexpensive toys). Just transfer the toy from the storage compartment to the trap door and watch how excited your child gets to pull the cord and release the treat.

1. Fill the large compartment with small treats and toys so there is plenty ready for when your child is ready to go.
2. Transfer one of the rewards from the storage compartment to the trap door.
3. Only let your child pull the cord after they have shown success on the potty.
4. Once they have received their reward, Velcro the cord back up so the child cannot reach the cord.
