This antique vintage vanity dresser set is made of celluloid. It dates to circa 1940. This set includes a tray, powder jar, hair collector, comb, and hairbrush. This is one set of several which I recently purchased from the estate sale at Mount Airy, which is located in Cordova, Tennessee (a suburb of Memphis) (see more about Mount Airy below). The vanity set is not an original piece to the house, obviously, because of its date; however, it is an exciting opportunity to own something wonderful from this historical home and the families who have lived in the house. The tray measures 11-1/2" by 8-1/2". The comb and hairbrush are in very good condition, although there is a blemish of some sort on one end of the comb, and the bristles on the brush are worn. The hair collector and powder box is in very good condition. The tray has a couple of small blemishes. If you have questions about this item, please let me know. Orders totaling $35 or more will be sent with signature confirmation. See more of my VINTAGE VANITY SETS and DRESSER SETS at and at

The estate dealer who conducted the recent estate sale allowed me to come onto the premises prior to the sale to take photographs. Mount Airy is the oldest log house in West Tennessee. Note that this is not a log house, but a mansion which remains upon the grounds of what was once the family's plantation. The house is very secluded and cannot be seen from the main highway, so this was a real treat for me to be able to stroll the grounds and take photos of f the home, both inside and out. One of my photos of the house is included with this listing. This home was featured on NBC's "Who Do You Think You Are?", when the show tracked the ancestry of Vanessa Williams, the first black Miss America and a star of the TV show "Desperate Housewives," back to the Mount Airy home. To have a chance to own something from this great historical home is a really exciting chance. I purchased several celluloid vanity sets, brushes, dresser sets, and other collectibles. Some of the things, I will keep for myself, and some will be listed in my Etsy shops. To locate the other items I list from Mount Airy, just type "Mount Airy" in your search, in the vintage category (and also be sure to look in my other shop at VintageAndOld).
