Palm wax is an all-natural, renewable resource that is obtained from the oil palm in Southeast Asia. It has been grown as a commercial crop in well managed and regulated estates since the early 1900’s. The oil palm produces fruit in bunches which are harvested, and sent to palm oil mills where the oils are extracted, sterilized, clarified and purified into crude palm oil. The crude oil is then sent to palm oil refineries where it is processed further into products such as cooking oil, shortening, cocoa butter substitutes, non-dairy creamers, soaps, and of course Palm Wax.

Please remember:
Keep wick trimmed to 1/4" at all times. Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets. Burn candles within sight. Never leave burning candles unattended! Always burn candles on a stable, heat resistant surface. Discard any ribbon, twine, tags or other decoration before burning the candle. (Never pick up a candle by the lid, they are used for decorative and covering purposes only.) Keep candles away from drafts or air vents. (Keep candles away from anything that can potentially catch fire.) Do not touch or move candles when they are lit or when the wax is melted. (Remember, the containers can become very hot!) Don't burn candles more than 4 hours. Keep wax free of wick trimmings, matches or any other flammable material. Don't burn candles when there is a 1/2" or less of wax on the bottom of the container. Put out the candle if it smokes or if the flame becomes larger than 1". Let the candle stand for at least an hour to cool, then trim the wick and re-light. To discard extra wax, pour it into a trash can or similar container. (Never pour wax down the drain!)

Frequently asked questions about curiouscarrie

Soy wax is wax that is derived from the by-products of the soybean. It is formulated with other vegetable waxes to produce a wax that can be used in making candles. This wax is all natural and makes very nice, long burning candles.
--Soy beans are a renewable and sustainable resource, grown in the USA!
--Soy candles produce less soot!
--Candles have great hot and cold scent throws!
--Candles have longer burn times!
I use HTP wicks, that are made of cotton, with an inner core of interwoven paper fibers. These wicks work very well in soy and palm wax candles.
I also use wood wicks, that are comprised of two pieces of wood. The wide, soft piece of wood produces the width of the flame while the narrow, hard piece of wood, called the booster, produces most of the heat. It may not be apparent just by looking at the wicks that they are comprised of two separate pieces of wood. However, these two pieces of wood are infused together by a special machine.
Don't worry, your candle is not drying out....
Frosting (the white coating that appears on soy candles) is a natural characteristic of soy and is part of the soy experience. It is not a flaw and it is unique to pure soy candles.
Frosting does not affect the scent throw or the burning properties of the candle. You can safely burn a candle with frosting. Frosting is simply the natural wax re-crystallizing and trying to return to its natural state.
I do not recommend using the painted mason jars outdoors.
They can be outside for short periods of time, as long as it doesn't rain, but I don't advise leaving them outside.

No. If you wish to return a candle, it must not have been burned. Once a candle is burned, I cannot give a refund.
