This beautiful clay sculpture, filled with smooth curved lines and fabulous combinations of glazes, will make a superb decorative object. This piece was wheel-thrown as a pitcher-like form and then altered by distorting the rim, making multiple spouts, stretching parts of the form, and finally, re-orienting the piece so it does not sit on its original bottom. I glazed the piece by pouring five different glazes over it in various overlapping patterns, making a rich variety of glossy blues, greens, and browns.

This piece was made in preparation for my installation entitled "The Gathering" in the 2012 Raspberry Monday Exhibition in the Eugene Johnson Gallery of Art at Bethel University (St. Paul, MN). However, it was never exhibited in the installation because it does not stand up at the angle I intended and because of a couple glaze defects. As a result, it is being offered at a reduced price on Etsy!

Glazes are food safe. This piece is oven safe and dishwasher safe; however, avoid sudden changes in temperature.
