The card is in very good condition with minimal wear. It is stamped, postmarked and used. The stamp is a green George Washington 1 cent stamp. The postmark says: PILOT KNOB, N.Y., AUG 25, AM, 1944. The card is published by C. W. Hughes & Co., Inc., Mechanicville, N.Y.

Printed on the back of the card:
'View from Pilot Knob-on-Lake George, N.Y. An unusually fine view of the broad expanse of the lake is had from here. Across the lake can be seen Dome Island and Crown Island, beyond which is Northwest Bay and the Adirondack Mountains.'

The card is addressed (in pencil) to:

The message (written in pencil):
'We are up here for a few days enjoying the beauties of Lake George. Wish I could send you some of the cool weather we are enjoying here, Hope you are all well.
