This rustic mug was made in the Medieval & Renaissance Baluster style. The base is the ancient "Pie Crust" thumbed foot, which rises and expands into the belly of the mug then straightens to the neck and lip. That expansion makes for a deceptively larger capacity of liquid than a straight sided mug will hold, but is also a strong, graceful shape. The handle is large, sturdy, and well-balanced.
Each mug is handmade, that may mean that there are slight differences between individual mugs, but all have the basic shapes, glaze colors, and careful craftsmanship.
You can find extant examples of this in multiple sources, but the book I used was "Border Wares" by Jacqueline Pearce.

It is 6 tall and holds slightly over 1 pt. of hot or cold liquid.
The mug is high-fired stoneware with a food-safe glaze. Warm chocolate brown.
