This elegant necklace makes a bold statement. The teal and cirrus green Kazuri focal with matching rounds are alternated with bronze Mykonos Greek ceramic beads. The grouping hangs from two bronze Mykonos ceramic disks on a delicate macrame cord that I have hand-knotted using 100% cotton thread with a strand of copper metallic thread for a hint of shine. The hand knotted cord with bronze Mykonos ceramic spacers completes the necklace.

Kazuri in Swahili means “small and beautiful”. The workshop, based near Nairobi, Kenya, produces a wide range of hand-formed and hand-painted ceramic beads. It is a fair-trade organization that primarily hires single mothers to make the beads. Kazuri produces handmade, hand-painted ceramic beads and jewelry in Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa.

This necklace is 20 inches long with a lobster claw clasp. Wear it alone or layer it with your other favorites.

Enjoy & thank you for looking!
