This quilt of deep, rich saturated colors, is very masculine in design made in the 1920's it is constructed all from ties from Sulka and Company; a men's haberdashery in Manhattan that once counted the Duke of Windsor and Winston Churchill among its customers. This quilt was constructed from my grandfather's all silk ties from Sulka. the silk fabric was woven in Lyon France and has a high grade pattern and sheen that has held up beautifully. Overall the quilt is in beautiful condition, having never been used. Several of the squares will need slight conservation. This is both a collector's item due to the very collectible Sulka silks and and as a beautiful piece of artwork. Appropriate for use as wall hanging, not for utilitarian use. I understand that condition of the quilt is difficult to review based on the images. I am willing to provide additional images documenting condition of the quilt to serious buyers.
