This is my first attempt at hand dyeing fiber - I was terrified! And then... I ended up quite pleased with the results :-) I've discovered I can get a subtler blend of colors using dyes than I can by blending colored fibers together. However, the only place I can dye my fibers is my kitchen so I can only do it on days when all the windows can be wide open; here in London, we've had perhaps the wettest spring on record so in spite of my newfound enthusiasm, I don't know how much hand dyeing I'll accomplish in the near future!

This yarn is made from Corriedale fleece. After dyeing the fiber with blue, pink, and yellow (resulting in a bit of purple and orangey gold as well as the original colors), I spun it up in a mildly thick and thin manner with a bit of curlywurly to it, so it will have some character when knitted or crocheted up. I've priced it on the low side since it's my first try at dyeing, and so much better is yet to come - I hope!

A 97 gram (3.4 ounce) single ply skein, approximately 98 yards long, spun in a pet and smoke free environment. Yarn Weight = 8 wraps per inch (Aran)
