J Gould was a British ornithologist and contemporary of Audubon creating nearly 3,000 lithographs of birds in his lifetime. This print is of a pair of Rose-Breasted Cockatoos and is the Sidney Z. Lucas version. I'm not sure if it's the original since I can't easily open the frame to take a look, but if it is the original Lucas version then it is from the 1930's or 1940's.

The print is in a great chunky frame with some carvings and there are two neat little nails holding each corner together. There is a small chip in the wood on the inside of the frame near the glass on the right side. The back has been taped shut and is not easily removed. The print has some waviness to it and I can see a small spot of water damage in the bottom right corner under the frame. There is some debris between the glass and the paper that could easily be removed if you wanted to take the back off, you could probably also get the waviness out of the paper, too.

The frame measures about 14" long, 9.5" wide and 1.25" deep. The opening that shows the print measures 10.5" tall by 6" wide.

I will pack this securely and send with delivery confirmation. This is a heavy piece, hence the shipping cost.
