Why not display a 1954 "Pot Rooster" in your kitchen? Back then, Frigidaire was introducing new colored porcelain exteriors. Appliance shoppers could take a sample home, in this 4 3/8" square trivet. I have 2 of them. This listing is for one.

Frigidaire called their new jadite color "Sherwood Green". (The other option was "Stratford Yellow".) Most of these vintage tiles now have one or more chips around the edges ... those cocky black roosters have been strutting for 58 years!

Photo 1 shows this tile on the left. There is a chip on its lower left corner. The back is scuffed and discolored.
Photo 2 shows it standing on its side, with the chip visible.
Photos 3-5 show this trivet alone.

Info from the back:
Heat-resistant "roost" for hot pots and pans.
Useful spoon rest.
Colorful wall decoration.
Finished in easy-to-clean PORCELAIN.
Porcelain ... the finish that stays new-looking forever!
Rust Proof, Acid Proof, Heat Proof, Resists Stains, Scratch Proof, Cleans in a Jiffy!
Only Frigidaire has refrigerators, ranges, food freezers, washers and dryers finished in Lifetime Porcelain.

I found a few newspaper ads from 1954, saying "Get Yours Today!" The trivets might be sold for 15 cents, or given away free. Arthur Godfrey was a Frigidaire spokesman in those days, and his smiling face appears in some of the print ads. I can point the buyer to the ad locations online.

My second Pot Rooster is being listed separately. It is identical, with different condition issues. https://www.etsy.com/listing/102500977/frigidaire-pot-rooster-trivet-tile-1954
