Truly magical ensemble and NEVER WORN, this is a 1950s bridal gown complete with garter, wrist cuffs, and a head piece by the then premier couture designer of Beverly Hills, William Cahill! The design is classic New Look and this gown is utterly charming in its less formal tea length! It features a fitted bodice in ivory cream lace with a sweetheart neckline and capped sleeves of sheer lace. The nipped waist is accentuated with a wide panel of pleated satin. The skirt is very full, billowy concoction in three layers of tulle over a taffeta underskirt. The back features a large, asymmetrical bow in matching ivory satin with lace applique that . There is a metal zipper for closure that gets hidden with hooks. Just add a hoop skirt for the ultimate cupcake effect!

The wrist cuffs are matching ivory, lace, have three button closure, and really can be worn as fingerless gloves. The headpiece is wire mesh covered with lace, with the perimeter beaded in faux pearl. It is shaped as an open crown and reveals a trace of a once attached veil. A small, plastic, hair comb is attached to the interior to help you settle it into your hairdo. The garter is ivory satin with a tier of dotted lace and floral applique in pink and green.

The original tags from Marshall Field and Co., are still attached on the inside of the dress, with the original price stated as $89.95.

This is an elegant, classic look that really captures all that was gorgeous in 1950s design. You will dazzle all on your wedding day!

Condition: Very good. I would say stunning and nearly perfect if it weren't for one of the buttons on one of the cuffs has lost its ivory satin covering as well as one single "tooth" on the back zipper being missing (towards the bottom). The zipper works just fine without it, but gets a little stuck so needs a bit of juggling. If you need your bridal gown to be perfect, it can be replaced of course, but is very wearable as is.

***I have many many more pics showing details of the dress as well as close ups of the accessories. I am happy to provide them upon request.
