Here is a extraordinary and unusual early to mid19th century silhouette of a woman encircled in three-dimensional garlands of tiny multi-colored cloth rosettes within another frame of more tiny flowers, all superimposed upon a hand painted presentation "window." Notice the dove surrounded by tiny feathers at the top.

The silhouette and flowers are in a beautiful Biedermeier frame made of light fruitwood with a dark wood raised square at each corner. The woman is named beneath her portrait. The piece is signed in German and partly covered by the rosettes.
