Everyone has something special to cherish!
I began this altering project by burning the paint off of an Altoid tin using a hand held torch. I then burnished the tin with an antique gold patina.
The lid has been decorated with a polymer clay image transfer of a pretty winged angel. I mounted this image inside a hand created decorative polymer clay frame and then rubbed it with antique gold leafing.
I added bits of old jewelry with some sparkling rhinestones to embellish the frame. Beneath this frame is another "frame" of hand stamped polymer clay that has been burnished with more gold leafing and accented with two tiny silver beads. This smaller second frame holds another image transfer that reads "Cherish". The inside of the tin has been lined with pages from an antique music book.
It will make a truly unique presentation for that ho-hum gift card. What a great way to present that special someone with a magic evening at a favorite restaurant. Or a great place to keep those tiny cherished memories; a lock of hair, a first tooth or that special ticket stub. Or use it as a pretty place to store pins or tacks.
The tin measures 3 3/4 inches tall by 2 3/4 inches wide and will arrive in an artfully collaged gift box.
