Featured is a 1961 SINGER SEWING Dressmaking Course, in 8 EASY STEPS. The cover states, “The same famous course as taught in Singer Sewing Centers!”

This wonderful binder-type manual features 8 sections on dressmaking, and an additional 4 chapters on PRESSING, HANDLING SHEER FABRICS, UNDERLINING AND TAILORING. The images and graphics provide excellent guidance and also are entertaining to look at the fashion of the day!

The book is free of any personal notes or writing but does show a bit of age and wear on the edges, and has a bit of a musty smell.

This SINGER manual is a great gift for the beginner seamstress or for someone who wants to expand their sewing knowledge.
