This pretty silver flower was made sometime between 1956 and 1979. At least that is what we've sorted out from research. Rancho Alegre was founded in 1956. And the back of the pin has an eagle with the number 3 inside. The eagle was retired in 1979 and the three stands for Taxco. But just to drive the point home, the pin is stamped Taxco, Sterling, Mexico and Rancho Alegre. And I should be stamped "eye strain" for sorting all that out. But we digress.

The pin measures 2 inches x 1.5 inches and weighs a substantial 10 grams. As you take a look at the pictures, note that it has a textured finish, not a smooth one. It's in good shape for its age and the clasp closes firmly. There is an area of very rough finish on the pin front, just outside the very center where the leaves start to form. We don't think it detracts from the this pin's good looks, but as they say, your mileage may vary. And we have a thing about full disclosure of anything we notice.

Our vintage jewelry is pre-loved, and therefore may have tiny imperfections acquired over time, but we think that just makes them more unique. Add your chapter to the history of this charming piece! U.S. shipping is free and all LemonCage vintage jewelry comes in a gift-ready box.
