Instant download

Yay! I can now offer immediate download on this tutorial- as soon as payment is cleared, you'll get a link to download the digital file. How cool is that?? :D

An in-depth PDF tutorial with over 80 photos on how to sculpt the base bead, prep with gems and electroform a Man In The Moon bead. There are infinite variations on this bead!

Electroforming is covered in in a step by step process as well, and a link to a very indepth tutorial provided online is available in the instructions as well. (If I can do it, YOU can do it! :D) Resources for all unusual materials are linked as well.

35 pages, file is approximately 3.4mb.
Materials List
Hot work:

torch, kiln and all your related goodies to fire up!

turquoise full rod (for the purposes of this
tutorial, I'll be using turquoise!)

4mm & 2mm turquoise stringer
(one thick and one thin will do, no need to get out the calipers!)

razor tool

poking tool (I use a brass tool for the nostrils from Lost Marbles on Etsy:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/LostMarbles - and a tungsten pick for the mouth)

Cold Work:
electroforming kit (and sufficient knowledge of how to run it!)

electroforming paint and brush

finished clean bead

gemstone cabochons or pearls of your choice

glass microbeads

white glue of some tacky sort

mandrel for handling and drying

dremel tool (or non-name brand substitute. Harbor Freight has a great deal on a flexible shaft rotary tool often!)

buffing and polishing wheels for rotary tool (I use a Dremel EZ Lock mandrel with 512E EZ Lock Finishing Abrasive Buffs 320 Grit and 423E EZ Lock Cloth Polishing Wheel for buffing and polishing)

carnuba wax
