After a major facelift, this hand carved antique Victorian gentleman's chair is now painted a creamy white (paint color linen white) with a satin finish and upholstered in a floral, bird print creating a perfect blend of vintage and contemporary. The rounded back and seat make the chair surprisingly comfortable and a unique addition to any room.

The beautiful curving frame is hand carved with interesting details and cabriole legs. The frame has been re-glued to be structurally sound and the signs of wear have been repaired, leaving a smooth, almost porcelain looking frame.

The fabric is a cotton linen blend with a cream background, brown outlined florals, birds, caterpillars and butterflies. The birds and bugs are colored in with green, robin's egg blue, and teal/blue. The florals are colored in with white for a subtle background with splashes of color. All the edges have double piping for a finishing touch.

All my chairs are completely stripped to the frame and rebuilt with all new materials (this included the springs). The springs are 8-way hand tied for added stability and longevity. The fabric is 95% cotton, 5% linen and pretreated for stain resistance by the manufacturer (Duralee).

Shipping is handled through Greyhound Package Express with pick up from your local Greyhound station. Ships to US only. If you are in the Rochester, NY area, contact to arrange delivery/pick-up.

39.5" tall, 31.5" deep (very front to very back), 27.5" wide

**Seat Height: 17.5"...I think the standard is 18". I believe it is a little low because the seat is rather deep and it compensates for comfortable seating. I have seen this in other old fashioned chairs. I can sit on it very comfortably, and it only sinks a little bit under my weight (I am 5' 2" tall).
