This small, vintage, hand painted Hopi vase is in excellent condition - free of cracks, chips, or scratches. There are some light marks to the inside - please see fourth photo.

Standing 4" tall, it has a turtle on one side with a turquoise bead affixed as its eye, accented brown and black geometric designs against a white background. Marked "Hopi Toad" on the bottom. The turquoise accents seem to be a trademark of the Hopi Toad potters.

The Hopi are a southwestern nation, descended from the ancient Puebloans of the same area (Arizona and New Mexico.) Impeccable pottery and basket weaving skills have been passed down through generations for thousands of years. This particular piece was likely made in Arizona for tourist trade.
