Mysterious image of a group of women in white dresses, walking in May day procession through the woods.
The photograph comes from a photo album showing historic campus life at Willamette University in Salem Oregon, 1912-1917. So this photo is glued to brown scrapbook paper cut out. In excellent condition.
In the scrapbook paper we read: "MAY POLE WEAVESS"

Time has colored the picture of a nice sepia tone and has faded to the left. Different aspects converging to make the image a bit ghostly a bit spooky and, so beautiful.
