This gorgeous ring is from approximately the 1930s - 1940s. It features an incredibly bright fiery Transitional cut diamond, very white and with fabulous sparkle set in an a square head. The diamond is very high quality with great clarity. The ring features two additional single cut diamonds in the raised shoulders on either side of the main stone set in tiny pear shaped settings. The band is a very pale shade of yellow gold and the head is white gold.

The ring is a designer Jabel with the makers mark on the inside. Jabel rings are very well crafted and highly sought after due to their quality and the die strike process by which they are made resulting in higher density and a more durable ring. When I purchased this ring, I was not aware that it was a Jabel. I was so excited when I saw the mark and learned that it was! The company has been around since 1916 and continues to produce very high quality jewelry. Comparable antique Jabel rings with the same carat diamond sell at a starting price of about $1600 and upwards.
