A glimpse into the Lake Union Waterfront and House Boats circa 1970's. Mr. Norton, (1909 - 1984) was well known for the details in his art. Mr. Norton painted more than 500 watercolors in his career, as well as logos for Dairy Queen, Pella Windows among others. His paitings are found hanging in the White House, U.S. Capitol, the Iowa Governor's Mansion and many more places as well.

This is not an original watercolor - an original will not have dots, the prints do. However, many originals were commissioned by Franklin and Desaulneirs, in Chicago begining in 1960 thru the early 1970's. His son, John has said many high quality prints were made on watercolor paper. The prints are so well done you would need a magnifying glass to see the detail.
