With this very detailed pattern, you can make a super-realistic and playful fawn/ baby deer. This .pdf crochet pattern is written in standard American crochet terms.

If you use the recommended yarn, your fawn will be 5.5 inch /14 cm long.

Materials
For this crochet fawn you’ll need worsted weight Lètt Lopi yarn and you need an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You’ll need four colours: brown (acorn heather 0053), dark brown (1401 or chocolate heather 0867), light grey (light ash heather 0054) and a little bit of black (black sheep heather 0052). For the eyes I’ve used 9 mm animal eyes. You will also need fibrefill to stuff the body. Pipe-cleaners to use to fold the paws are optional, I would recommend it for this pattern but they are not safe for small children.

The crochet pattern contains
An intro with useful info. List of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal. Pictures and illustrations to help getting everything right.

Gauge is unimportant for this pattern. If the pieces are crocheted tightly enough, they will not gape visibly when stuffed. You can make a little test swap to be sure.

Pattern was exactly as described and seller was very helpful with my inquiry. The little guy made up nicely. I’m sure I’ll be making more for Christmas ornaments. Thank you! 👍

I have bought Woolfie, Bathazar the Cat and Golden Boy from this creator but have so far only crocheted the cat and dog. The patterns are pretty detailed, not suitable for people who are very new to crochet. I can do intermediate patterns if I pay attention to what I'm doing and I've managed to follow both of these patterns with relative ease. I've crocheted a lovely Golden Boy using a thicker, fluffier (suitable for 6,5 knitting needles) yarn and a 5 mm hook. I'm thrilled with the result, which is 15 cm tall and very cute. Balthazar is more difficult to follow due to colour changes, but very beautiful. There are helpful photos and diagrams. The quality of the patterns is very good and the products can be stunning. Both patterns met and exceeded expectations.

This pattern was on the wordier side and a bit of a challenge for me, but I also haven't been crocheting very long. I am very happy with how it turned out. (I changed the coloring since I was trying for a Bernese Mountain Dog)
