1940s sewing book The Pictorial Guide to Modern Home Dressmaking, 1940 edition.

....'deals very thoroughly with the craft of dressmaking and its branches - simple tailoring, millinery and lingerie-making'....

Includes pattern drafting and pattern making, renovations, dress decorations and finishing processes.

Under Utility and sports find a smart dusting cap, under lingerie processes there's a brassiere pattern and who could resist a flared flounce in the tailoring section?

It measures 7.5 x 10 inches or 185 x 250mm and has 320 pages. It is good solid stuff and weighs about 2.5lb or over 1kg which unfortunately makes the postage price rather steep.

The cover will once have been much brighter and has a pencil line to the front. A few pages have a little crease.
