Sometimes a walk can be the biggest inspiration...

My family and I went for a walk along the Erie Canal a few years ago, mid-May, and all along
the banks were these beautiful little flowers draping themselves with their thick green blanket
of tiny leaves all over everything, like great swags in the trees. The smell was incredible.

I discovered that these little flowers, which I suspected were a type of rose, were called
"Rosa Multiflora", or also, Japanese roses. While considered an invasive species, I fell in
love with their tiny, sweet smelling flowers and thought..."I bet I can make that out of sugar"!
And what you see above is the result of our walk!

This listing is for a little "swag" of 2 stems of leaves and 10- 1" flowers. They are made of gumpaste
and wired into the sprays. The centers are of embroidery floss and then dusted. I could just
see them draped down the side of your cake.

Every effort is made to package and ship your item with care. However, due to the fragile
nature of the product, I would suggest you insure your purchase.

Thank you for visiting my humble little shop!
