These are two vintage Mexican enamelware buckets, from Tres of Monterrey. Both feature a floral design with a gold floral motif trim and a cobalt blue rim.

These pieces are beautifully battered. The smaller bucket actually shows very little wear and does have the original lid. The larger bucket has some dings along the rim and the has obviously been soldered many times due to holes (but it does still hold water perfectly well). Most likely it would have been a houseware item used by multiple generations. Both buckets have great coiled wire handles. Great shabby chic elements for a kitchen or dining area. I'd love to fill these buckets with a package of beans, spices, and a wooden spoon or quickbread mix for a unique housewarming gift. They would also look great holding balls of yarn or spools of thread in your workspace...the possibilities are endless!

The large bucket measures 8 1/4" high with a base diameter of 8".
The lidded smaller bucket measures 6-1/2" (with lid) with a diameter of 4-3/4".
