A bonnie wee piece of Scotland......... legend has it that a sleeping party of Scots warriors were saved from ambush by an invading Norse army when one of the attackers trod on a thistle with his bare feet. His cries raised the alarm, the roused Scots duly defeated the invaders, and the thistle was adopted as the symbol of Scotland.
The die maker carved the thistle with such intricate detail, and the ring sets it off with a polished bevel edge.
So if you have Scottish roots, then this will be your treasure.
These are made to order, and are available is sizes 8 to 12, please have your size confirmed before ordering. Please also note, the ring you buy is not the item in the photograph, but will look virtually identical. The machined bevel edge is also an option, the edge can be left plain to show more of the coins reeds.
These coins were minted from 1953 to 1967, so if you have a birthday during that period it would be an added interest.

Thanks :)
