Included in this lot is an antique copy of "Morals and Dogma" by Albert Pike, as well as a vintage copy of "Clausen's Commentaries on Morals and Dogma" by Henry Clausen. Both books were traditionally given to FreeMasons upon their entrance into the 14th degree of the Scottish Rite of Masonry at one time. A vibrant gold double headed Masonic eagle insignia is embossed on the front covers of both books, and both hard backs in excellent vintage condition.

“Morals and Dogma” was written by the famous Philosopher, Author, Occultist, lawyer, and soldier Albert Pike who served as Freemasonry’s Sovereign Grand Commander of the Scottish Rite’s Southern Jurisdiction for over 30 years. Albert pike served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War It is alleged that Pike had connections with the Klu Klux Klan, and even concieved there original sacred rituals. This hardback edition was printed in June of 1946, and is in excellent vintage condition. The binding is tight, the hinges are intact, all pages are present, and there are no internal makings. The exterior cover boards are clean with almost no shelf wear, and crisp un-bumped corners.

In 1974 "Morals and Dogma" was initially replaced by "Clausen's Commentaries on Morals and Dogma", written by Henry Clausen, 33rd degree, Sovereign Grand Commander of the Southern Jurisdiction. This vintage 1985 edition was limited to 40,000 copies. The book is heavily illustraded; most of which are in color, and are full - page. As with the other book, the binding is tight, the hinges are intact, all pages are present, and there are no internal makings. The exterior cover boards are clean with almost no shelf wear, and crisp un-bumped corners.

Morals and Dogma spans over 1000 pages, and measures an impressive 9" tall x 6 1/4" wide. Clausen's Commentaries on Morals and Dogma spans 250+ pages, and measures 9 1/8" tall x 6" wide.
