This medium size ax was handforged from a large cold chisel.
The 15.5 inch handle is handmade out of White Oak, and stained using vinager and iron fileings,, A traditional stain. Then several coats of Linseed oil were applied.
A hand made iron wedge holds the handle securely in place. The head is 6in. long with a
2in. cutting edge.
This would be a great little ax for Reenacting or trekking / camping or survival.
All handmade using traditional methods, forge in a coal forge and hammered out by hand.
The eye was split and drifted.
