Gold Gilded Edge Pages

American machinists' handbook and dictionary of shop terms. A reference book of machine shop and drawing room data, methods and definitions.

Book came from a South Carolina Estate. Previous owner has written some information on the inside cover and inside blank pages (name, year, formulas...). Book is in good condition for being 90 years old, however it does have expected age and useage wear.

Book cover and pages are pliable from years of use and probably being carried in a pocket. Cover and outer edging of pages are dusty from storage and have dirt and handling marks from being used by a machinist.

There is writing on the inside front and back cover and on the inside blank pages.

Pages have expected yellowing/tanning from age. There are a few minor stray marks on the inside pages from useage. The pages are overall pretty clean. There is some minor corner wrinkling from turning pages and storage and some pages that have tiny dog-eared corners.

The pages are still bound in the book. However, the cover opens freely at the front and back and you can see what binds the cover and the pages. The book also opens freely and will lie flat at other sections of the book and the binding can be seen there as well. There is a tear to the bottom/inside of the title page (can bee seen in the 3rd photo). Due to its age, I would suggest that the book be handled gingerly.

Book measures apx. 6 3/4" long by 3 7/8" wide. It is apx. 1" thick.

It smells like antiquity.
