Bunny Hugger side by side bed concept © 2012
The filling is British wool which is pet and child safe washed British lambswool instead of polyester stuffing. The outside is soft closely knitted wool. Bunnies like to lay on wool, and they are much less likely to chew or eat wool than other fabrics. Wool also is water resistant, fast drying, does not hold onto odours, and is good at temperature regulating. And it is highly unlikely a rabbit will eat wool. None of ours have. A bunny will find this shape comforting and supportive to lay between, especially if they are feeling poorly, are lonely, are 3 legged or with head tilt. I suppose this is because it replicates the feel of when they nap or relax together, as they will often lean against each other. These are quite popular and they sell very quickly after I list them. I am happy to make one up if they sell out or if you want more than one. The last one sold went to a veterinarian.
Measures 19 inches long and 14 inches wide with the raised sides containing wool and the flatter portion high quality 205 gm quilt wadding in a solid flat sheet.
You will be surprised at its weight (700 grams which is 1 1/2 pounds) as it is quite heavy, which makes it keep its shape.

The beautiful Chinchilla bunny is our beloved house rabbit Shale, who we rescued from freezing to death along with her sister when they were babies in January 2011. (as pictured Jan 11 2011 with my husband in the last photo)
