A lovely colourful 1950s hand embroidered floral tablecloth with a cream lace edge. The flowers include pansies ,daffodils and stylized thistles and clovers. I think that this design symbolizes the United Kingdom, because of the floral choices.

The stitches include tiny blanket stitch, satin stitch and french/ bullion knots. The colours are vibrant and the needlework very well done, just as lovely from the back as on the front. The cloth is a vintage cream linen and the embroidery is worked all round the cloth to form almost a circle. See photo four.

It is in very good condition with one small mark (shown) that did not launder out on a thirty degree wash. It is however faint, as you can see and this would still make any table look lovely.
It measures 41 x 44 in, 104 x 113cm.

If vintage linens/ and handmade quilts are of interest why not take a peek at the other lovely items in my shop? Please feel free to ask any questions, thanks for looking in.
