The Great Wave
Asymmetrical Earrings

The Great Wave off Kanagawa also known as The Great Wave or simply The Wave, is a woodblock print by the Japanese artist Hokusai. An example of ukiyo-e art, it was published sometime between 1830 and 1833 (during the Edo Period) as the first in Hokusai's series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji , and is his most famous work. ...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Wave_off_Kanagawa

Detail from Hokusai's Vintage Woodblock Print images and Washi paper decorate this pair of Japanese inspired earrings. Silver toned base metal findings and crystal beads are also incorporated into the design. The images and Washi are laminated and layered with chipboard. The circle measures 1" round. The length of the earrings from the top of the surgical steel ear wires to the bottom of the longest dangle is 3-3/4".
