This is the forth in my "crosses" series. These earrings are my interpretation of a cross that might have been worn in early Mexico made by the native people after conversion to Christianity

I wanted to make the metal look almost as though it were a cloth-like material so I hammered it onto an old file and then after placing the bezel for the turquoise I stamped the metal to enhance the cross' focal point. I then oxidized it and tumbled it because not only did I want it to have a look of antiquity but also something with a little shine.

These earrings do have a little weight to them and are 2 1/2" long and 1 7/8' across. The dangle is made by hand and is sterling silver.

These earrings have a matching necklace. https://www.etsy.com/listing/102513646/spanish-lace-necklace-in-copper-and
