A nice size 5 1/4" tall clear-glass rectangular-shaped scarce OWL DRUG Co. antique bottle.

The bottle has an embossed picture of an Owl perched on a druggist's mortar and stirring the pestle. (On the mortar is printed “TODCO / TRADE MARK". TODCO stands for The Owl Drug Co.)

On the back shoulder of the bottle it is embossed "The Owl Drug Co."

This is an old screw top bottle, ca. early 1900's.

This bottle is in nice clean condition. It has an area of content haze and some scratching on backside, otherwise good condition, NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc.

The Owl Drug Co started in San Francisco in 1892. By 1910 they had stores in California, Oregon, and Washington, and by 1920 they were even in Chicago and New York. The Rexall Co. started purchasing their stores in the 1930's and by the late 1940's there were no more Owl Drug Co. stores, as all had been bought out by the Rexall Drug Co.

These are always a welcome find by bottle collectors, there just aren't enough of them to go around. A nice bird embossed on this one!

Nice looking Antique old OWL DRUG Co bottle w/ pic of owl on druggist's mortar San Francisco
