A long vintage woven textile wall hanging, table runner, or scarf. Vintage geometric navajo style southwestern design, natural wool tones: brown, grey, cream.

This beautiful textile is woven in a very narrow long band, consisting of thick squares alternating with open strands of the warp yarn (a fiber blend). The weft is beautiful wool in the natural colors of the sheep, with little nubby grass and seed bits to be found woven in here and there. It is fully reversible.

This could be a many-purpose piece. It can rest along a mantle or table, can hang on a wall alongside a door. It could also be repurposed as apparel, draped across one or both shoulders or finagled into a hanging belt. It has the nice pointy arrows and diamonds of woven geometric navajo blankets but does not claim to be the genuine article. It was found in a rural Canadian auction and could have been made by homesteading amateur weavers or acquired in travels. It's a sweet and kind of rustic piece with lots of texture and character.

Measures: 5" wide by about 79" (about 6 and a half feet) long. Each woven panel is 5" square.
