Our Classic Victorian Ball Gown is custom made in luxurious 100% Silk to your exact measurements, and can be made in almost any color! Email us for fabrics and color samples currently available.

Our gown is made in a 2 pieces, and takes 6 - 8 weeks for delivery. The Victorian Bodyce is fully boned and lined, has short sleeves and closes in back with eyelets and laces up, corset style, for an adjustable fit.

The Basic Skirt is gathered into a waistband, has a back zipper, has a 160" - 180" wide hem, and is fully lined. Hooks on the waistband connect it to the bodyce to avoid slippage when waltzing the night away!

Style Options for the Basic Skirt would be to add an over skirt in either a sheer organza or lace that can be gathered up with silk flowers.

The over skirt and the skirt can also have the hemline trimmed with a rich wide lace, or ruffles can be added, even ruffles with a narrow lace trim at the seam line.

There are several different style options for the top and sleeves, and many skirt treatments to choose from. Email us with your design ideas before buying, and we will give you an exact price quote.

When we add trims, we like them to be as close to their original vintage inspiration as possible. That is why we make most of them by hand, as the Victorians would have done. We hand press all the matching pleated trims, hand gather the ruffles, and applique quality laces. Custom bead work can also be added to most anything. Additional trims may incur an additional cost, and a price quote will be given upon request.

Returns & exchanges

All Vintage Clothing and Used Theater Costumes are sold as is, and all sales are final. Any visible wear / damage areas are documented before the sale is completed. Vintage items are old ( 40 years + ), and gently worn. Theater costumes are used and worn. Showroom samples have been worn for photo shoots only. Some items are newly made, and are labeled as such.

If you are unhappy with your purchase of a used / vintage item, you may return it for a refund within 3 days of receipt of item, which is 7 days after my shipping date, as verified by my mail receipt.

Item must be returned as unworn and in the same condition as when purchased. Photo documentation confirms condition of sold garment.

Your money will be refunded as soon as we receive the item. When returning an item, please use some sort of tracking system, just in case it should get lost in the mail. If it is lost, and you have proof of it being sent, then refund will still be made.

All sales are final on custom made garments. There is no return or refund on custom made items.

The fit of a custom made garment is based on the measurements provided to us by the client. If the fit is off due to our miscalculations, we will make every effort to alter the fit, or replace the garment with an exact copy that does fit correctly, at no extra charge.

If the fit is off due to the wrong measurements given to us, we will make every attempt to correct the fit, with the exception of increased costs, such as buying more fabric, which will be paid for by the client. It is not possible to just "exchange" one garment size or color for another, since every item is made to order, and we carry nothing "in stock".

Custom ordered garments are made to the measurements you give us. If it turns out you gave us the wrong size or measurements, and the garment does not fit correctly, and a new garment must be made, you are responsible for any additional costs incurred.
