I started out by handcrafting this seated globe in my Colorado studio. I filled the bottom with white gravel and tiny seashells. This is the perfect habitat for a marimo moss ball. . .

What you see is what you get- this is not a stock photo. The globe is approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter and has a hole in the top that is 3/4 of an inch across.

A marimo mos ball is actually live algea that grows in a globe shape. It grows very slowly. The one in your listing is approximately 2/3 inches across. In Japan it is believed that these little living globes bring you good luck! A marimo ball sinks and floats on its own as it fills with different amounts of water and air.

The care for a marimo ball is very simple. It just needs to be submerged in water and have some light. Water only needs to be changed out every 2 weeks or so.

Your globe and its contents come to you in a gift box and they are mailed to your through the USPS Priority mail with tracking and delivery confirmation to ensure its safe arrival.
