Here's a beautiful, collectible camp blanket from Esmond Mills in Rhode Island. Popular with collectors and a practical addition to your vintage decor.

* Dates to the 1930s
* Highly collectible Native American design
* Reversible design
* Main colors are ivory (almost a pale yellow), brick red, blue, and black.

From 1920-1940, cotton "camp" blankets were very popular in the U.S. They were made primarily by Beacon Blanket Company and its main rival, Esmond Mills. These blankets were a super soft and durable alternative to wool. They are not made to fit standard bed sizes but come in a range of sizes.

Collectible cotton camp blankets are often called "Beacon blankets" even when they're made by other companies. Collectors especially like Native American designs in primary colors, as shown here.

I have confirmed with an expert / author on antique camp blankets that the one for sale here was made by Esmond Mills. in the 1930s. The price is set at the low end of the range he gave me for this design.

Condition is very good. Very soft, thick fabric. There's a tear in the hem of one edge (see last photo), and a small tear in the body of the fabric. I have *not* cleaned this, preferring to leave as is for a collector.

Size: 73 x 76 inches
