This handmade pottery jug was fired in a traditional groundhog kiln with salt glaze at Luck's Ware in Seagrove, NC. It was fired for 14 hours with pine and cedar slabs, then finished off with pine lightard. We fire the salt kiln about every 8 to 12 weeks. The inside of the pottery jug is lined in a slip glaze and the bottom is signed "Luck's Ware 2011 Laura Bristow Beavers".

The pottery jug is nearly 6.75" tall and will hold liquid.

I will try to reduce your shipping costs on multiple pottery purchases!

Frequently asked questions about Beaverspottery

Yes! My pottery doesn't contain any lead or other minerals that would make my pottery unsafe for daily use.
I make all my glazes using recipes from other potters, online, books, and trial and error. I do not purchase any premixed glazes.
Absolutely! These jugs are made and fired just as they would have been in the 1800s. They were fired hot enough for the clay to vitrify, so they will hold liquid.
Yes, I do make dinnerware for special orders. Dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, cups, mugs, serving pieces, or whatever you'd like to include in your set.
