Seriously impressive backgammon set in corduroy carrying case with an accompanying book published in 1970. This is a big and fairly heavy bruiser, it is 15 1/2 inches long by 10 1/2" high by 2 1/2" deep. The book is a history of backgammon with various illustrations (the instructions aren't all that complicated), it is by the Viking Press, pub. 1970. Some wear to the cover. The inside has a stitched board of I believe the finest vinyl. Some vintage wear to corduroy, and some threads are sticking out of the handle.

The major flaw to note is that one of the black pieces has been replaced with a ringer, a wooden game piece similar in size and shape, due to the fact the label was upside down at the estate sale and all the pieces went everywhere when I opened it and apparently one escaped. Thus, an improvised replacement.

If you take the book out, you can put your ipad in there and be ready for anything.

Ships parcel post.
