This is an authentic handmade Native American Tomahawk with a rustic wood handle, natural stone head, leather strapping, and handpainting. From top tip to bottom of handle it measures 14 3/4"L with a 4 1/2" stone. I do not know the tribe affiliation or history, or if it was merely handcrafted to sell to tourists. My parents traveled the U.S. and half of Mexico for years and my dad acquired this tomahawk on one of their excursions, probably in the Southwestern portion of the US where there are many Indian reservations. It has great rustic style and looks perfect over a fireplace. Click on the middle two photos to see the entire tomahawk. I don't know its exact age but I know my dad had it for at least 25 years. My guess is it dates back farther than that. The handle shows some age as shown in photos. American history or Americana, it is a unique treasure and awesome conversation piece!
