Macrame is an art, very popular in the 1960s and 1970s. Many things were macramed including gorgeous wall hangings, tablecloths, elaborate hanging flower pot holders, hammocks, clothing, purses, bags and more! You can handcraft your own macrame treasures with this book "Macrame Creative Knot Tying" published in 1974 as an eighth edition Sunset Book by Lane Magazine and Book Company, Menlo Park, California. All 80 pages are full of projects and techniques to make the finest macrame and there are plenty of photos to illustrate each one. The back (see listing photo 2) and inside covers illustrate macrame projects in vivid color, the rest in black and white. This book is in excellent vintage condition with cover intact, pages undamaged and only slightly grayed with age. The glued looseleaf cardboard binding is tight with no slipping pages. It is a beautiful how-to book for anyone who wants to learn the art of macrame.
