A wire wrapped chain of carved skulls, a strand of beads and a copper chain holding a vintage carved elephant and drops of shiny red glass blood, and the pistol which was his preferred method of bargaining for ivory, form this multi strand portrait of Mr. Kurtz, the rogue ivory trader from Joseph Conrad's 1899 novella "Heart of Darkness".

The bracelet is 8 1/2" (21.6 cm) long and fits up to a U.S. size 7 1/4 (M). It is finished with copper cones and an artisan copper hook clasp. It will be shipped USPS with insurance and domestic tracking included in the shipping price. I do use signature confirmation for shipments over $100.

Orson Welles loved Conrad's story and intended his first feature film to be Heart of Darkness, but the studio dropped the project fearing it would go over budget. Welles made Citizen Kane instead.
Marlon Brando's character, Colonel Kurtz, in the film "Apocalypse Now" was based on the Conrad character.
