This cotton fabric block shows us an image of a little girl and boy sitting in a hammock reading. The girl has her arm around the boy, likely he's her little brother. It's a reproduction of a vintage image from a Good Housekeeping Magazine cover from July, 1918.

This block is available in three sizes: 8 x 10", 5 x 7", or 4 x 6". Simply choose the size you'd like from the pulldown menu when you make your purchase.

***This is NOT AN IRON-ON transfer. It is a piece of fabric you SEW on or into a project. The image is actually printed from my computer onto the fabric, 200 thread count, 100% cotton.***

These fabric blocks are not colorfast when shipped, but a simple three-step process performed by you can make them colorfast if needed. The process takes about ten minutes and involves removing the paper backing, ironing the fabric, rinsing, and ironing again.

Afterwards, the blocks can be hand-washed or gently machine-washed with a small amount of fabric softener (detergent cannot be used, nor can they be dry cleaned.) Detailed instructions will be provided in your package.

The image will be centered in the fabric block with a white border around it, to give you some seam allowance. The width of the white border differs depending on the size block you order.

The watermark on the image above does not appear on the fabric block you will receive.

Please note that vintage image sizes vary, and are not optimized for modern frames (in case you are buying the fabric with an eye to framing it.) For more fabric blocks by this artist in our store, see this link: https://www.etsy.com/shop/KatyDidsFabrics/search?search_query=smith&order=date_desc&view_type=gallery&ref=shop_search

As well, this image is available in our sister store, KatyDids Cards as a greeting card, fridge magnet, and bookplate here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/KatyDidsCards

These blocks can be used to make art quilts, wall hangings, pillows, tote bags, door hangers, sachets for potpourri, appliques for t-shirts, or other fabric creations, uses being limited only by your imagination!

The watermark on the image above does not appear on the fabric block you will receive.

Terms of Use: Our fabric blocks are sold as supplies, and as such may be used to make products for resale here or on other venues. However we request that our images not be scanned and resold as digital images, or sold as products similar to that which we sell here or in our other store, KatyDids Cards, in competition with us. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this regard.
