Lot of 50 rustic wooden alderwood soap dishes. Perfect for handmade soap. No chemicals added-just wood! Perfect for resale at festivals or farmer's markets. These soap dishes are an inexpensive natural way to keep your handmade soap up and out of water.
These rustic soap dishes are made from the branches and trees that were downed in the January 2012 ice storm that hit Wiseman Hill Farm. Unfortunately, we lost hundreds of trees. In an attempt to make lemonade out of lemons our entire family has pulled together to start using the enormous abundance of felled wood that literally litters our 5 acre farm. Every member of the family has been assigned an art project that uses a portion of the downed trees. The sadness of seeing our lost trees has turned into a creative joy-these soap dishes are the brainchild of our teenage sons and my husband.

The good news is that our house was not hit by a tree, the animals pens were not hit, we lost only our beautiful trees...they can and will be replanted. Mother Nature gave us the bounty of seemingly endless product material. Please enjoy our bio-degradable, sustainably harvested rustic soap dishes to go with our hand-made soap or your own handmade soap- if you are a fellow soaper.

There are no chemical preservatives or glues used.
