Who wouldn't fall in love with this 72" x 87" twin quilt? I see it in that little girls room...that shabby chic guest room...even as a generous throw in a sun room or over a porch swing!!

Many many uses for this classic quilt. Sure to become a favorite!

This is a delightful 30's vintage style patchwork quilt I made with a whimsical rooster and farmers border on the bottom, adding to that cheery, timeless look.

I used many different prints in shades of pinks, oranges, reds, blues, purples, greens and yellows.
I bordered the entire quilt with the muslin inner border and the side borders are a coordinating rooster print, while the top border a classic blue and white gingham print.

This quilt has rooster appliques scattered across it made of quality muslin.

I quilted this quilt with a diagonal stitch and in the ditch quilting stitch. I echo quilted the rooster appliques and free motion quilted the bottom border around the figures. The muslin inner border I quilted with a feather and cable motif which I hand stenciled and stitched out. I channel quilted the outside border every 1 1/2 inches.

The backing of this quilt is a buttery soft aqua and white tiny 30's print.
The binding is made up of many of the colors of the quilt in strips surrounding the edges of the quilt. I double folded/double stitch my binding making for a sturdy edge.

All of the fabrics are 100% quality quilting cotton and the batting is Warm and White 100% cotton.

Gentle cold machine wash, no bleach, gentle warm dry or lay flat to dry.
Your quilt will get softer and softer with use and lots of love! I have pre washed this quilt...it washed up beautifully acquiring that antique -y puckery look.

*****I recommend that quilts not to be stored in any plastic bags for any length of time as the natural fibers cannot breathe. For storage, it is best to lay a quilt flat (on a spare bed if available) to avoid fold lines that the cotton fibers can create. You may wish to store them folded on the bias (crossways) and placed in a cotton pillowcase if need be. Quilts should never be exposed to direct sunlight as fading and bleaching can occur and weaken the cotton fibers.*******

Many quilts sold are pieced by individuals and then sent out and quilted by other quilting specialists who work on a long arm quilting machine - and can be quilted, by expert machine operators, in just a few hours on the frame they are loaded onto. A long-arm quilting operator runs the threaded machine over the quilt and creates continuous patterns either produced manually or computer generated digital designs. This is a fairly quick, effective, efficient and pleasing manner in which to finish a quilt top.

ALL OF MY quilts, however, top, back, and quilting, are sewn completely by myself on my home sewing machine in my home sewing room.

Please be aware that my look is definitely more 'hand made' and not as pristine as the perfectly computerized machined stitches and patterns - which is achieved on a long arm machine. (and with Hand-Crafted comes irregularities and imperfections , and sometimes more than a few wonky lines - but with LOVE stitched in every stitch!!)

So again, be aware that my quilts look more' hand-crafted' than 'manufactured'. I spend alot of time figuring out the actual quilting patterns, whether they be my signature 'feather' designs, or a modern 'pebble' motif, echo quilting, straight quilting stitches or free motion quilting to emphasize shapes, people, backgrounds, etc.,

IF this is the look you desire, then you will be pleased with your purchase - if perfection and immaculateness and 'manufactured' is what you're after, then you may want to look elsewhere for your quilts.

I have held your quilt in my lap, my arms and hands, for many, many hours, for many, many days, creating for you an absolutely hand-crafted, by Truelove, quality quilt! A 'simple' quilt can take between 15 - 25 hours to design, cut, piece, baste, quilt and bind. A more detailed quilt, according to sizes, can take between 30 - 50 hours. A complicated large quilt takes about 70 + hours to complete by myself.

I machine quilt every inch to two inches on my quilts which involves a tremendous amount of stops and starts and thread changes. I quilt on my Husqvarna and/or Brother sewing machine (which can LITERALLY be a pain in the neck (and arms-and back!) with some of my larger quilts!!) using chalked stencil markings or free motion quilting which I make up along the way. This takes a super amount of time which I have to make up for in my pricing, but I think well worth the extremely personal touch.

I have laid awake dreaming at 2 a.m. of YOUR new quilt - from fabric shop -to planning -to cutting - to stitching - to finishing - to packaging - to you!!!!

With love and cuddles you quilt will get softer and softer with use!

At this time I am unable to accept any Custom orders
Most of my quilts are not prewashed so you can expect shrinkage of both cotton and cotton batting up to 3% with the first washing. Washing should be done on a gentle delicate slow cycle, cold washing, no bleach, mild detergent, lay flat to dry and tumble every 15 minutes to fluff. Handwashing is highly recommended for optimal care of a quilt.
My quilts are usually not a standardized bed size. The fabric 'speaks' to me telling me just how small or large it wants the quilt to turn out! :)
Many of my quilts are a large throw size although I have made both larger and smaller as well as table topper size. All sizes are listed to the inch in the item description. Because my quilts are bound and finished, I am unable to make them larger, as has been requested many times.
